I opened up my floral studio in early 2014 as a stay-at-home mom of two preschoolers.
I wanted to turn my passion for flowers and floral design into a small local business that could offer unique flower arrangements to individuals and families at an affordable price.
I was born and raised in Prague, and lived in Brussels for
most of my professional career as a policy officer at
the European Commission. It was there that I started to
explore floral design. Working with fresh flowers and
making flower arrangements was my creative escape from
my desk job. In November 2008, I crossed the Atlantic
and moved to Alexandria, VA with my husband.
While learning from those who have many more years of
experience in floral design and continuing to deepen my
knowledge about flowers and skills in floral design,
I have been given wonderful opportunities to contribute
and help with flower arrangements at various occasions.
There are a few occasions, which stand out and I will always be grateful to have been a part of. I was a member of the volunteer staff at the Hillwood Museum and Gardens in Washington, D.C. for almost 6 months in 2009 and it was there that I had my first opportunities to arrange flowers for others. In 2015 I worked with Urban Petals Floral Design studio at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to decorate the Center for the Mark Twain Prize Award dinner. Finally, I had the wonderful opportunity to help Helen Olivia studio from Old Town decorate President Joe Biden's home for Christmas when he served as Vice President of the USA.
I am honored to participate at Art in Bloom in DC at Anderson House annually with my artistic floral creation inspired by the art and architecture of Anderson House.
In November 2023, I moved my blooming floral studio into a new bigger space in order to accommodate and serve more clients in DC and NoVa areas. I continue making unique flower arrangements for your everyday and special occasions, for your home and corporate parties, and catering to weddings and elopements.
